1. The Equestrian Federation of India (EFI), hereby informs all riders, stakeholders, and members of the equestrian fraternity that the Selection Criteria for the 20th Asian Games (Aichi–Nagoya 2026), scheduled to be held in Japan from 19 September 2026 to 4 October 2026, is currently under active formulation.
2. The Selection Committee of EFI is in the process of drafting the detailed selection framework. This exercise is being undertaken in alignment with the technical guidelines, horse movement protocols, and competition regulations as issued and to be confirmed by the Organising Committee of the Asian Games 2026, Japan, and in strict conformity with the rules of the Federation Equestrian Internationale (FEI).
3. In the spirit of transparency, inclusivity, and fairness, EFI invites all riders and stakeholders to share their preliminary inputs, observations, and suggestions on the selection process. Submissions must be made in writing to EFI within one (1) week from the date of this Notice(10^th Sep 2025). Based on these preliminary inputs, a Draft Selection Criteria shall be released for final comments and review, following which the Final Selection Criteria will be issued, ensuring due consideration of riders’ practical concerns.
4. EFI hereby reiterates its commitment to ensuring that India’s representation at the Asian Games 2026 is conducted with the highest standards of integrity, merit, and compliance with international equestrian regulations.
5. This Notice supersedes any informal discussions, communications, or assumptions regarding the selection process/criteria. Only the officially published Selection Criteria, as approved and issued by EFI, shall be valid and binding.
