AMPLIFICATION OF ACTIONS AFTER LONG LIST FOR ACC THAILAND 2025 WRT CONFIRMATORY TRIAL/MER TRIAL AND PROVISION/MOVE OF HORSES
-
After the List of Rider
-
Horse Rider combinations have been released, now a few issues have come up for facilitating the teams participation in the ACC Thailand wrt to :-
- Move of horses ex Europe/ Australia
- Move of horses ex India via Europe/ USA
- Possibility to lease horses abroad and subsequent move to Thailand
-
Tackling the ibid in sequence there will be following non negotiable underlying principles :-
- This amplification is only applicable to the riders in the Long list who have achieved their MERs till 30 June 2025. No new entrants will be permitted.
- The original merit seniority is sacrosanct and shall be maintained as such.
-
Now, in order to progress the sport and not let it die out in India, we must do all that is logically possible to facilitate our Long listed riders to reach and compete in ACC Thailand, this can be achieved in following ways :-
- Riders to take own horses as qualified from India and abroad as in the normal course. Then they give one confirmatory trial abroad and proceed to Thailand. The confirmatory trial window will be from 01 September to 25 October 2025.
- Longlisted riders to be provided an option of leasing a horse abroad and achieved one MER as per the laid down scores in the Selection criteria. They may also achieve this during the same window from 01 September to 25 October 2025.
-
There is no ambiguity for the second point, and, for the confirmatory trials, the following are the discipline wise format :-
-
Dressage
- Confirmatory trial at FEI CDI competition Inter1/PSG with a score of 65% for individual and 62% for team entry respectively.
- Fresh lease horses shall have to inform the EFI, EC, 07 clear days in advance of the competition and achieve the same MER as was in the Selection criteria with same score in a FEI CDI competition.
-
Show Jumping
- Confirmatory trial at FEI CSI competition at 130/135 cms for team and 140/145 cms for the individual categories respectively, with maximum of 16 jumping penalties over a course with a water jump.
- Fresh lease horses shall have to inform the EFI EC, 07 clear days in advance of the competition and achieve the same MER as was in the Selection criteria with same score in a FEI CSI competition over a course with a water jump, for both the categories.
-
Eventing
- Confirmatory trial at FEI CCI competition at 2*(L/S)/3*(L/S) level with max 55 penalties for team and 45 penalties for the individual entries respectively.
- Fresh lease horses shall have to inform EFI EC, 07 clear days in advance of the competition and achieve the same MER as was in the Selection criteria with same score in a FEI CCI competition. So technically on a new horse, the longlisted rider shall first have to qualify on a CCI 2* first to qualify for the 3*S.
- The trials shall be limited to a total of one MER during this window from 01 September to 25 October 2025. It's the riders responsibility to keep the EC informed at least clear 07 days in advance of the trial and send the results the same day.
- In case any horse moving from any other continent than Europe same timeliness and conditions will apply.
- Though the EFI has sent the case of financial assistance to the GOI but in case nothing comes through then its completely up to the riders to fund themselves.
- Riders participating in confirmatory trials from 01 Sep to 25 Oct shall have inform EC prior to commencement of the competition.
